Despite the legal drama that almost impeded its release (click here to read more), ‘Suga’ – the latest body of work from Megan Thee Stallion – strutted to digital shelves March 6.
First reported to be her long-awaited debut LP, the 25-year-old later made the clarification the opus would serve as an EP to ‘tide fans over’ until she made the official drop of her inaugural album.
Battling two of season’s biggest Urban releases, Jhené Aiko‘s ‘Chilombo’ and the surprise-released ‘Eternal Atake’ from Lil Uzi Vert, ‘Suga’ – always expected to come in third place among the previously mentioned competitors – still brought with it the Rap diva’s highest first week sales to date.

“Closing out the top 10 is Megan Thee Stallion, who scores her second top 10 effort with Suga. The set opens at No. 10 with 41,000 equivalent album units earned, with 36,000 of that sum derived from SEA units. The new release follows the rapper’s previous top 10 entry, Fever, which also debuted (and peaked) at No. 10 (June 1, 2019-dated chart).”
